From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia:
3 Feet High and Rising is the influential debut album from American hip-hop trio De La Soul, released in 1989.
The album marked the first of three full-length collaborations with producer Prince Paul, which would become the critical and commercial peak of both parties. It's consistently placed on 'greatest albums' lists by noted music critics and publications. Robert Christgau called the record "unlike any rap album you or anybody else has ever heard." In 1998, the album was selected as one of The Source Magazine's 100 Best Rap Albums.
A critical, as well as commercial success, the album contains the group's best known songs such as "Me Myself and I", "Buddy", and "Eye Know". On October 23, 2001, the album was re-issued along with an extra disc of hard-to-find B-side tracks, and alternative versions. The album's title is taken from a line in a Johnny Cash song called "Five Feet High and Rising".

Bonus compact disc
When Tommy Boy Records re-issued 3 Feet High and Rising on October 23, 2001, initial pressings included this compact disc as a companion. It mainly featured B-side tracks, alternate versions of album tracks and skits that would later impact other De La Soul albums.

Maybe it's a concept album, but every odd numbered track on Apocalypse is incredible, while the even tracks fall apart or never come together at all. If you listen to the odds, you get PE breaking down issues facing African Americans almost to minutiae, outing everything from corporate sneaker pimps ("Shut Em Down") and 40oz. killers ("One Million Bottlebags") to a racially corrupt government ("By the Time I Get to Arizona"). And, thankfully, most of that dogma is couched inside PE's trademark air-raid drill noisematics so you can shake your ass while PE sublimates the gospel into your brain. Unfortunately, drop the odd tracks and you're listening to a sonically and lyrically inferior album. Suffer through Flav's reprehensible plea for martyrdom in "A Letter to the New York Post," or the inane and superfluous "Bring Tha Noize"--a co-op with Anthrax which takes rap-rock crossover back to a sad place, alongside Lou Reed's "Original (W)rapper". --Todd Levin

Primus - They Can't All Be Zingers

Primus - They Can't All Be Zingers (2006)
Flac (separate files) - 504.2 MB MP3 @ 320 - 174.7 MB Covers (PNG 400 dpi) - 126.1 MB

From Wikipedia:
“ They Can't All Be Zingers is a "greatest hits" collection, by Primus. It was released through Interscope Records on October 17, 2006, the same day that their DVD, Blame It on the Fish, was released.

They Can't All Be Zingers includes 16 digitally remastered songs that span their entire career, including a previously unreleased and extended version of "Shake Hands With Beef", the Tom Waits collaboration "Coattails Of A Deadman", and "Mary The Ice Cube" from the 2003 DVD/EP Animals Should Not Try To Act Like People.

The Best Buy version of the album contains a bonus CD with 4 rare live tracks ("Those Damned Blue Collar Tweekers," "DMV," "My Name Is Mud," & "Jerry Was a Race Car Driver") recorded at Woodstock '94, including the infamous version of "My Name is Mud" where they were pelted with mud by the audience (in which Claypool responds by informing them of their "small and insignificant genitalia").

The album's title comes from a line from the stand-up act of comedian Neil Hamburger.

The CD's outer packaging is meant to represent a package of individually wrapped single slices of processed cheese. The inner CD case looks like cheese itself. ”
